The new Samson office is located in New Zealand’s first 6 Green Star rated Geyser building, in Parnell Auckland. For the fit-out, it was imperative that the office reflected the environmental aspects of the building.
Amanda at Regenesis Design was chosen for her complete understanding of the environmental and company objectives by incorporating these into the design fit-out. We required an open plan office where we could easily converse with each other, while still enabling team members to easily move around the office and have several areas for meetings and rest & recreation. The design was chosen to reflect the many different greens of New Zealand, with a focus on the Pohutakawa tree & flowers.
There are a collection of plants on shelves and floating installations attached to the internal pillars. The lovely break out lounge includes a renovated retro chair to match the new chairs. A lot of thought has gone into furniture with natural light oak wood in beautiful designs. The design and fit-out went much further than fixtures, fitting and furniture, it also includes art work, eclectic plant holders and items on display as well as crockery and glass ware and an artist was contracted to place designs on pillars and woodwork and glass panelling all based on the DNA of the Pohutakawa. Two beautiful pieces of art work display the theming well.
Our office is modern, open, relaxing, refreshing with a lot of natural light, and we are very lucky to be working within this beautiful and relaxing environment. We get many positive comments from our visitors.
Amanda is easy to work alongside and the quality of the procured furniture is superb. I highly recommend Regenesis Design for commercial and residential interior design and fit-out work.
When faced with the challenge of refurbishing an existing Hospice to accommodate four specialist palliative care beds, I realised that I needed professional interior design help to ensure that what was created maximised the space and rate of return for the donated monies.
To ensure this goal was achieved the environment needed to reflect what the wider community deserved and had waited for so long.
We needed to create an environment that was soothing and restful, a home away from home. The environment, its furnishings, colours and fabrics needed to reflect the personalised care that we provide not a clinical sterile environment. It needed to incorporate the flow between the gardens, the rooms and the patients, their families and the staff providing the care. Coming together to create an atmosphere that brought a sense of calm and peace at such a critical and often painful time in people’s lives.
Amanda Hookham of Regenesis Design was invited to join our team to ensure that we achieve this goal.
Amanda met with us, listened to our stories and how we wanted the environment to reflect the very best of care for patients and their families. She guided us, provided options and encouraged stimulating conversations to enable us to think about what we wanted and how this might be achieved. She took us into creative spaces that we may never have gone to if she was not a part of the team. She is intuitive to the needs of the environment and the people it serves. She researches and offers options so sound decisions can be made.
The end result was that as a team we created a soothing, welcoming peaceful environment. It is practical and meets the needs of ensuring the very best of Specialist Palliative care can be provided in a safe and nurturing environment. Colour, look and feel helps us to significantly achieve this and all within budget.

Amanda Hookham assisted us with the renovation of our new home in Matakana.
As I had quite clear ideas about the style and atmosphere I wanted to achieve, Amanda’s challenge was to capture this and help me turn my vision into reality.
She did this beautifully and with great intuition, listening carefully and providing gentle guidance. Even though our project has presented some interesting situations Amanda handled each one with a calm and reassuring manner, whilst remaining patient and professional throughout.
We truly enjoy living in the spaces which she has helped to create.
A beautiful result!
